It is ok having a great ISP with great connection and download/upload speeds with amazing router. But if Sony or Microsoft have issues with their networks you will have bad or even no connection to the FIFA services. This can make games disconnect and give problems trying to find opponents. You can check the sites below for any planned maintenance or major issues. Xbox Live much better for this and even include FIFA updates. Good to keep an eye on both on twitter. Fut online is basically unplayable for me now always the home team lag every match cant even remember the last time i finished a match have tried everything last year was bad but this year is even worst.The best connection ive ever had was fifa 10 and 11 and that was with talk talk on about 4mb download.Do most people here with problems have fibre optic at the min im with plusnet before bt infinity both 80down 18up.Would just like to add games like call of duty im usually host.
Hello.Thank you for your suggestions .I tried everything.But also i tried more than suggested here.The result is, this problem is out of gamers control.It seems problem is on EA servers.EA company should test this game in all conditions before release it.Also should keep testing it on heavy traffic condition on their servers.But seems they abandoned it and they dont care now if working properly or not.When this game released on first 2 days , then all worked fine and players reacted fast.But then, day after day game going to be more and more slower.Now players react 1 second slower and any setting on routers can not change it.This means that EA needs more servers for this game because people now using it are too many.Problem is on EA servers side which can not handle long distance players.We tried all solutions but with no success.Now EA needs to try to create much more servers for this game.Otherwise only solution for us is to move to Pro evolution which seems working more reliable (i hope this game will not be like fifa in future)..Thank you any way for your suggestions.But problem is not related to a setting router-modem problem on this phase.
iv bad lagging and game play i delete im account got a new game was fine for one night then goes to pot again its alot too do with ea and there servers and poor matching how i can be playing people from brasil and canada and italy most of the the time is beyond me with my setting on approx location and im living in ireland and probably have been matched with one irish player ea servers are pretty bad too too many people complaining bout this **** four years iv been playing fifa now never had this problem will be going back too pro evo i think screw ea and there bad hospitality and poor match making games
I cannot believe how ea can let this lag spoil an excellent game.I get all the lag symptoms described my most here. Tried numerous things and some says good then others terrible.I am a fifa addict but hate this constant let down by ea
Difficult to know exactly as so many factors. Have you tried the fifa defending tutorial with a video on how to defend corners and change players using the right stick. We have noticed strange gameplay lots across FIFA and because ISPs, where you live, your setup, the EA servers all affect the game its so difficult to pinpoint. Interestingly on XboxOne not had a single bit of lag. Now is that new XboxLive servers? New EA servers? Less people online with an XboxOne? Will wait to see.
hi there i am a very big fan of fifa love it when works and i am one of the very best won div 1 3 times won over 900 head to head on fifa 13 ect. now for the last two years i have had serious lag issues and massive delay in players functions its very frustrating as a gamer i thought it was linked to lag switching and in general cheaters. the game is just impossible to play players stop dead touch is non exsistent. just want to know what it is? i have reformatted my ps3 time and time again and still the same now it still doing it on fifa 14! i have 30 meg broadband.
Hi guys i have the same issue that you have. I play nhl and fifa and both games runs slowly i dont know if it s my xbox slim or my ps3 the 1st not the slim. I have all ports open my internet is fine with 50mbit and 10 upload and ms between 15 and 30 milliseconds. So i was wondering why this runs so slowly. When the game came out everything was fine. I am one of the guy who plays for money on virgingaming and i had a record of 110 wins to 10 losses and since then suddenly the game was slow i have lag delay i lost to people who i beat them before and they are wondering they also asked how bad are you playing now from that day to the other day. my record now is 139 wins to 39 losses so it cant be that i have 29 wins and 29 losses my last games. i never had this issue with nhl 11 and fifa 11. So i stopped playing this game for 2 months long i was asking my friends or the people who i played online and they said that the games runs smoothley without any issue. So i checked everything then monitor tv setting cotroller settings i changed even my internet provider to get fiber optic connection. My router is a fritzbox 7390 costs 250 euros so i was trying everything. I used 2 xbox slim both same problem i cleaned the cache i deleted my saved games nothing worked. I have also the problem that my screen freezes exactly 4 times in the game and then it runs gain but it happenes like every hour or sometimes a bit later but it happenes. I never had this before. i will buy now a gaming router asus 56 i dont know if this will help. I have still the feeling when i play the games i have lag when i wanna move quick my players. I lose to people who have a record of 300 wins over 400 losses i belong to the top players in the world something is wrong. I have to fight like hell agains those people lol. What else can i say i bought even a patch ethernet cable cat.7. i was saying maybe the ea server for europens are the problem i dont know maybe it s the patch they brought i have relly no idea. im on xbox 360 have been for 2 years now playing various games without any sort of lag internet provided by virgin media, for the last few weeks my H2H games on fifa 12 have lagged but no lag on pro clubs or any other game and ive never had lag problem with fifa 12 or any game before the last few weeks my conection is fine MW3 evan pro clubs works in peak time any time but H2H lags no mater what time what shall i do ?
i have requested a mac code from bt broadband, to move back to zen internet, who i was with 2 years ago, when i never had a problem at all, although up until 1 month ago, bt internet was fine for fifa.
hi there , im getting problems with fifa 12 online and offline , my players have massive delayed reactions when controlling them and they seem to just not respond to what im doing ! ive got the same problem with xbox and ps3 where the players just dont feel right and feel completely wrong .. its offline and online game . massive delayed reactions . please help its driving me soooooooo crazy !!!!!!
Think I got to the bottom of it, I play fifa on 2 accounts and was only getting lag on one. After updating the squads like suggested I get no lag now. My pingtest is grade A, ping 31ms and jitter 1ms. Glad I found this site, thanks again.

Hi Dear Fifa addiction, you seem very much into this game including its technical aspects. Can you please help me? I ve been playing the series since 08 and I have encountered this problem every year. There are streaks of matches that my players seem like they are stuck to the ground are impotent to shooting and passing in one word are helpless.My ps3 is NAT2 and fifa is moderate, and no firewall. Recently Ive been experimenting with tactics(I never used them before) because I read somewhere that this may be due to your opponent using high possesion tactics although it is very unlikely that all your opponents suddenly start using this tactic. I think it is momentum/scripting but I really wish there is some way around this because when the game is flowing smoothly (even if I loose) I really enjoy this game. I am currently switching between divisions 3-4. Can you please help me if there is a way? Thanks
just a quick question can an opponents connection cause lag and not effect them? whenever i play someone in london or abroad my games are terrible my players unresponsive etc etc but when i play someone from elsewhere or my friends the game is perfect, i dont have any other connection problems on any other game just fifa any answer greatly appreciated 2ff7e9595c
